PROJEKT EUROPA launches its first-ever supper club, IMAGINE FLAVOURS — another way we are holding space for vital conversations around migrant imagination, art and culture. This intimate evening of food and dialogue brings people together around a shared table, where an international chef curates a special menu and shares the journeys behind each dish. Alongside the meal, migrant artists host a conversation exploring how movement across borders shapes imagination, artistic practice, cultural expression and identity.
The first IMAGINE FLAVOURS will take place on May 18th, hosted by Karla Zazueta - a self-taught chef, Mexican cookery teacher, and food writer. She teaches Mexican heritage, recipes, and techniques through her cooking classes at her Mexican Food Memories cooking school. Karla’s first cookbook, Norteña, is a collection of recipes in which she shares the stories behind her family’s dishes and the cuisine of northern Mexico.
