projekt europa is an international theatre company making radical and generous work for local and global audiences

We are an international artist collective, an advocacy group and an arts organisation.

We create migrant-led, multilingual work at the intersection of performance, co-creation and participation.

We are artist-led and artist-centred, a network and a community as much as a producing engine.

We collaborate with artists from different backgrounds who all share a lived experience of migration. To us, an artist is anyone who engages deeply in a creative act over time, with joy and rigour.

Our work exists in the collision of participation and performance, and we collaborate with artists from across the world to explore notions of identity, belonging and the juxtaposition between personal and collective history.

We make international work.

We understand this both as an indication of where our work happens geographically, and as a description of the people we work with.

We are located in Canterbury, and from this base we originate, develop and produce our work.

based in kent.

We work with and build

temporary communities – geographical, political, cultural, artistic.
